Cozy Morning Starter Pack: Blueberry Bagels with Blueberry Cream Cheese
Made with almond flour, Greek yogurt, and homemade blueberry jam
I’m not a morning person, but I am a breakfast person. Especially the kind of breakfast that feels like a little treat but doesn’t take a ton of effort. That’s exactly where these blueberry bagels come in.
This recipe came together one weekend when I had extra blueberries and zero interest in running to the store.
I started playing around with almond flour and Greek yogurt for the dough, added a quick homemade blueberry jam, and somehow landed on these soft, slightly sweet bagels that feel like something from your favorite local bakery.
But the real magic? The cream cheese. You mix in a spoonful or two of that same jam, and suddenly it’s this creamy, fruity, berry-streaked dream. It’s the kind of thing I keep going back to the fridge for, pretending I need “just a little more.”
These are perfect for slow mornings, brunch with friends, or honestly just eating over the sink in your pajamas. However you do it, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Let’s make some bagels.
Blueberry Bagels with Blueberry Cream Cheese
Makes 4 Bagels
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cool time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
For the Blueberry Jam:
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 tbsp honey
For the Bagels:
1 cup almond flour
1 cup oat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup blueberry jam
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
For the Blueberry Cream Cheese:
1/2 cup cream cheese
2–3 tbsp blueberry jam
Method
1. Make the Jam:
In a small saucepan, combine blueberries and honey over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
Mash gently with a fork for a jammy texture.
Let cool completely.
2. Make the Bagels:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
In a large bowl, whisk almond and oat flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add Greek yogurt and cooled blueberry jam. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
Wet your hands and shape dough into 4 bagels
Brush tops with beaten egg.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and set. Let cool before slicing.
3. Make the Blueberry Cream Cheese:
In a bowl, stir together softened cream cheese and 2–3 tbsp of blueberry jam.
Mix until smooth and slightly marbled. Refrigerate if not using right away.
To serve: Slice bagels, toast if desired, and spread generously with blueberry cream cheese.
Enjoy!

I am still in the everything bagel camp but these look good too
