This Frozen Peach Shaved Ice Tastes Like a Snow Cone and Passes as Breakfast
An easy frozen peach bowl you’ll want all summer
I’m in my peach era. Always have been, to be honest. But this summer, something’s different. Maybe it’s the heat. Maybe it’s nostalgia. Whatever it is, I keep finding new ways to eat peaches and I’m not mad about it.
Fresh, jammy, grilled, spooned over yogurt, eaten over the sink. If it involves peaches, I’m all in.
This frozen shaved ice bowl is my latest obsession. No slicing. No blender. No mess. Just whole frozen peaches grated into a fluffy pile of frosty, sun-sweet snow. Add a scoop of yogurt, a few berries, a bit of crunch, and a drizzle of maple syrup, and you’ve got a breakfast (or snack or dessert) that tastes like a July day in a bowl.
It’s simple. It’s cold. It’s peachy perfection. Let’s make it:
Frozen Peach Shaved Ice Recipe
No slicing, no blender, just whole frozen peaches grated into light, frosty snow.
Ingredients:
2 whole ripe peaches, frozen solid
½ cup yogurt (plain, vanilla, or Greek)
¼ cup fresh berries: blueberries, strawberries, or your favorite
1 tsp hemp seeds
2 tsp toasted pumpkin seeds or any nuts you like
2 tsp maple syrup
Instructions:
Spoon the yogurt into a bowl as the base.
Using a microplane or fine grater, grate the whole frozen peaches directly over the yogurt until you have a soft, snowy mound.
Add the toppings: scatter the berries, sprinkle on the hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds, and finish with a drizzle of maple syrup.
Serve immediately…. before it melts!
What’s your favorite way to eat peaches in the summer?! I’m always looking for new ideas…
